the laws & ethics exam is super easy, and straight forward. Just read the CA law book (buy it from CA dental board), and you can pass it. I have never heard of anyone failing that exam.

i just got my cali license by reciprocity - the thing is my gpr counted for a year adn i worked a couple more years - basically you only need 5000 hours, and your gpr counts s 2000 i believe. i don't know how stringent you are - i know a guy that did endo residency and he got his license w/o even working in the real world . . .as for the ethics exam, take it online - 14 bucks each course and if you don't pass you can retake it till you pass. i'm notquite sure the link but you can google it and cali does accept it

^hi there, sorry if this question may sound ignorant, but is the CA Law & Ethics exam taken separately from the WREB and/or CA Dental Board exam? What i mean is, can i take this exam first, without even taking the Part 4? Will it be honored after I pass the CA Board?

thats exactly what i have heard. i am taking mine (not in CA) but mine will be open book. hopefully i am not the 1st to fail it. lol
