CA law - CIII refill authorization ok for techs to do?

Once the refills for a CIII Rx (ie testosterone) have been exhausted after the allowed 5 times/6 mos, the pharmacist has to be the one to receive the authorization for additional fills (treating it as a new Rx), correct? Is there any scenario where the techs take down the refills?

Yes.

Techs/Clerks can call on refills for CIII or CIV as long as the 5 refill or 120 days have not been exceeded and refills are given up to the 5 refill or 120 day limit on the originally ordered prescription.
