Hi y'all,

I was looking through CA's application, and nowhere do they ask for transcripts outside of medical school, like undergrad? Am I just missing something, or does CA just not require any other transcripts as many other medical boards do?

What medical board asks for UG transcripts? I have 10 licenses, and not one asked for that.

I haven’t had to worry about undergrad/masters transcripts since med school applications.

I didn’t have to submit them for my CA license. Or the three State licenses I had prior.

I swear for the NJ and Delaware ones you have to...

In a similar vein, do hospital certifications then ask for transcripts from undergrad?

Nor med school transcripts.

Diploma. Residency/fellowship completion certificates. Board Certs. License. DEA Cert.

That's it.

Pretty sure both Missouri and Virginia required it. Super annoying the first time trying to track down transcripts from schools I took 1-2 classes from.
Virginia was my first license...does not...or at least did not on 2011.

have been asked to list my UG schools, but not actually get transcripts for them.

On California's application, they don't even ask you to write where you went to undergrad... It's so strange.

Also, I guess the medical boards don't need you to send transcripts because they can just get them themselves since you waive all privacy rights.

What's odd about that?

Obviously a medical school saw fit to admit and then graduate you. And a residency program saw fit to train you for a defined (and reported) period of time that qualifies you for a state medical license. Why would anyone at this point care where you went to undergrad and how you did there?

Perhaps you're right... I don't remember much about the application, but I got my license in 2016. I don't see anything on their currently application requiring transcripts, though. MO definitely required them (and still does).
