Hey guys,

I want to calculate my undergrad GPA and see where I stand. Is there a certain way AAMC weighs each credit? I went to two different schools so I am not sure about my average GPA and my science GPA. Thanks.:)

If this is in the wrong section, then I am sorry.

I don't exactly know if AAMC weighs credits, but I once calculated my average gpa and it was pretty close to the one on my campus profile here is what I did:

Chemistry 4 credits: Grade A
Biology 3 credits: Grade B
Calculus 4 credits: Grade A
Genetics 3 credits: Grade B

Total credits 14 credits

A=4.0 quality points
B=3.0 quality points
C=2.0 quality points
Etc.

4credits x 4qp=16
3credits x 3qp=9
4credits x 4qp=16
3credits x 3qp=9
__
50 points

50 points / 14 credits = 3.57 gpa

IDK hope this helps

Thanks for the reply. I always imagined there'd be some standard AAMC uses to calculate our GPAs. I am going to use your numbers until I can find something else.:laugh:
