Just wondering how to calculate my GPA. I finished with about 81% overall. I don't know what this is in GPA out of 4 though. Is this competitive ? Thanks

dentite001, 81% sounds pretty good. But what school did you go to? I remember none of the AADSAS GPA conversion scales corresponded to the grading at my school. Maybe your school fits with one of them. That was the thing that drove me nuts the most about the application - and my registrar's office was completely useless. Ultimately, I ended up contacting a friend of a friend of a friend (no joke) who had applied the year before and is now just finishing first-year tufts.

I believe 81% is the equivalent of A- or 3.70

When converting to the US grading system, dont use percentages....a Canadian percentage point is worth way more than an American...for example, you have an 81 which is pretty damn good....equivalent to A- at UofT....however to get an A- in the States, you have to get 90%, so if you put your percentages in, you will get shortchanged....

Just do what I did....put only the letter grade in....dont worry about percentages...
