Calculating GPA for retaking a course

When calculating a course that has been retaken, does the AADSAS put BOTH grades into your total grade pool or take the average of both grades and make it into ONE grade?

i.e. Getting a C and retaking it and getting an A.

2.0 and 4.0 added into your Gpa or just 3.0 added into gpa?

It uses both grades. You would have 3 credits of C and three credits of A.
