For MD schools yes. For DO, no (someone +1 me on DO).

what if the school's don't have math requirements? moreover, what if one of the math courses was taken as AP credit. i suppose that doesn't factor in at all?

Science GPA is defined as BCPM by AMCAS (MD schools). Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Math. Any class falling under those headings falls under Science GPA for AMCAS. This has nothing to do with if a school has math as requirements.

AP credit is of course nothing.

All math and stat courses count as BCPM.
