How do i calculate a theoretical yield when i know the amount of moles of the reactant? But there are two products, an one product i do not know the amount of moles or grams.
you can change the amount of moles of the reactant into the amount of moles for the product...its tough to explain but if you give us the question it will be much easier to explain and easier to actually see...

If you know moles of the reactand then you can use that to figure out moles of the product using dimensional analysis. You multiply the moles of the reactant by the (product*coefficient)/(reactant*coefficient). The reactants would cancel out and you would be left with moles of product. That would be your theoretical yield. I hope you understand as it is difficult to explain without an example.
