can we use a calculator?
 
No, you can't. But there won't be any terribly complex calculations, so don't worry. In fact, I'd say 90% of the questions in the physical sciences section do not involve calculations at all.

Yup, and if you find yourself doing an incredibly complex calculation... you're probably approaching the question the wrong way and wasting valuable time.
