I was looking at prerequisites for some of the schools I am interested and they give you an option of either calculus 2 or statistics. I was wondering which of the two would you guys recommend and why. Initially I was going to take calculus 2 but then I was looking at other schools websites and I noticed statistics specifically required for schools like San Antonio. Would I be better off taking Statistics instead of calc 2?

I think stats will be much more useful to you as a future health professional. I took both stats and a year sequence of calc. I use stats regularly when reading research papers; however, I dont do many integrals, matrices, or derivatives now that I'm out of calc. It helped for physics but that was about it.

I would encourage you to take stats as it's much more interesting ( at least to me) and more useful to a health professional than calculus in my opinion.

Stat.

It might be easier than calc too. Keep the GPA in mind.

Stats. Calc 2 is great for some math based fields, but dentistry is not math based. Stats are extremely useful for anyone in the medical field because a strong understanding of stats are critical for determining results of a study, or even writing and composing a study of your own. Stats will be used for the rest of your life once you learn it, Calc 2... not so much lol 😀
