This is tempting as I have nothing to do this winter, except hopefully get a part-time job, and HATE calculus with a burning passion. If I'm discipline, do you think it's a bad idea? I made a B in cal I and thought it was hell.

Calculus II is leaps and bounds harder, in my opinion. However, if you have a lot of free time over winter break, it might prove easier because you do not have to juggle other classes/obligations - or prove harder because you might not have the motivation!

Ultimately it's not a terrible idea. It's your call, really.

That's what I'm thinking. I will actually have the time to sit in front of a computer for 5 hours a day just studying.. That prescription for adderall that I rarely use is going to come in handy.

I'm really good at math. I thought calc II was the hardest math class I have ever taken (wait... secondary to this other math class that was 80% series). I HATE series. I have PTSD from it. Every time I see sigma, I want to run around screaming like I was 5, pull out all my hair (become britney speers) and run into a wall until I lost consciousness. Yes it's that bad.

I still got an A... but I NEVER had to study so hard for a math class (aside from this one grad math series class - it was like Calc II on crack... so I group them together as one giant **** hole experience) in my life! EVER.

So if you heard it's "easier"? Do it online... You will unlikely see it or use it again - unless your a math major. I occasionally ran into a few series or two in my upper engineering classes but they always say "meh, here's the integration forms".

I can't stop ranting about how terrible that class was. It was so incredibly terrible. UGH. Omg, I think part of my brain that should be used for series was destroyed in some 3rd world lobotomy experiment. UGH! I could take Calc II 5 more times, and still get nothing out of it.
