There are sources currently citing that California seems to be doing a better job at delaying the spread of COVID, so it is quite likely we won't get to this point.

Which I think we're all thankful for. It's not that anyone wants the healthcare system to get stretched to the point that our limited skills are valuable...we're just saying that if it gets to that point, we're willing. Which I think is a lot less controversial than what people are assuming.
