All,

Don't know if there are posts elsewhere on this topic.

I'm at a 3yr program in the south and am starting to think about where I'll end up after residency. One of the areas I'm interested in is SoCal. I've heard that the market in Ca is tight, and that it's difficult to land a position as an out of state grad. Any thoughts on the market out there?

Also, other than working hard and reading lots, I'm looking for ways to buff up my application. I've got two research projects I'm hoping to publish, and am active within the residency itself, though I doubt these will be helpful for community positions. Are there other areas I could get involved with that might be more attractive to potential groups/employers?

Thanks for any and all thoughts and comments!

Whoops! Found some shockingly similar posts in the EM thread. Would still love any thoughts on how to buff my CV for potential community positions.
