My stats are 3.48 cGPA, 3.35 sGPA, BS from USC, lots of unique extracurriculars, working in a pharmacy for 1 year

I thought my interview went fairly well. I stumbled over a few of my answers but it was more of a conversation with my two interviewers.

I was surprised to receive the acceptance email on a sunday

Hi guys, quick question, for Supplemental 2 short answers, how much did you write?
it seems like there is a word limit of 100?????

I applied to way too many - I'm super indecisive and wanted to apply broadly to improve my chances and to make sure I find the right school.
I applied to both midwesterns, umich, usc, minnesota, ohio state, unc, uc denver, nova, uw, lecom, hawaii...told you I over-applied haha.

What about you? Where else did you apply? And good luck to you

Congrats Heatheld....I also interviewed on Sept 24th, but haven't heard anything yet 🙁...I was wondering how long they give you to reply for acceptance?

they said within the next couple of weeks they will send me an additional acceptance email which has that information on it. the one i received just gave me info on the immunizations, background check, financial aid, and maybe some other things that are escaping my mind at the moment

I interviewed at Midwestern-Chicago on 9/29, but haven't heard back from them yet. I received an interview invitation last friday (i think it was) from LECOM-Erie but i declined the interview and withdrew my application.
 
Has anyone else received an acceptance email this past week?

I just received an email that they have cancelled the November interview session. The next one will be in January. 👍
 
Hello, beside heatheld, is there any one received any response from CNCP from the first interview (9/24)?

Did they inform all candidates of this? I have not heard from CNCP ever since I submitted my supplemental....
 
I haven't received any e-mail regarding cancellation of November interviews 😕
 
I sent multiple emails asking whether or not they will have an interview in November.
They finally informed me a few days ago that they have cancelled the interview in November and that the next one will be held January 28th. I'm not sure how they go about informing candidates about this matter.

Did you get invited to the November interview session and was not informed that it was cancelled? I dont think that you have anything to worry about with your stats. Maybe you should email Mrs. Kubat on this matter.
 
The faculty and staff at CNCP has been busy with preparing for the WASC visit this week so have some patience, they'll get back to you in due time. Today is the last day of the visit so after this, I think the admissions folks will update everyone on what's happening.

"since you have 2000 hours of research what do you think is the importance of research in the clinical process" i answered, and was told that my answer was a simpleton answer, so i bs'ed one out

"why not md?"
my answer was not acceptable again and i was grilled. because of a similarity to retail pharmacy.

something like what was your role in research, when did you step up, and like 4 more parts. i could only remember 2, and answered those. i asked my interviewer to repeat the other parts, but he instead asked me the next question.

my easiest question was three strengths and a weakness

i digress. curriculum was pretty cool, and i really enjoyed doing the problems. if this school passes accreditation then it will probably attract a lot of people, it is a really interesting way to learn. speaking of accreditation the student loan situation is bad too, but if they get accredited it too will be kosher.

the essay asked me what common roles do nurses, doctors and pharmacists have in a health care team.

best part, after the essay you get subway sandwiches

location, meh, i've seen worse. i liked that there was a casino and strip club close by, my kind of extracurricular activities

campus, felt like an office building, but the chairs were really comfy.
come early, it is easy to miss, it blends in with the rest of the offices.

dean was a nice guy, but he needs to talk about something other than the pbl.

q and a was sort of useful. one student was a second or third year, and the other three were new students. so we really only had one person answer questions.

so am i bothered to be rejected, not really. but if they were accredited, maybe.

Congrats RDuran....I got accepted to CNCP too 🙂 but was placed on hold for UOP w/o any interview 🙁

Congrats everyone who has gotten in! i ended up declining my acceptance a couple weeks ago, but this is a great school. They really impressed me during the interviews and with the team learning assignment. Hopefully one of you can get my spot :xf:

Congrats to you too!!!!! :highfive:Did anyone else get accepted here??? There were like 60 people at the interview and nobody is posting any admission news on this thread....there has to be more people on SDN who were accepted 🙂
 
I submitted my supplement application back in August but haven't heard anything from them. 🙁
 
For the supplemental, did everyone fit their answers in the box provided?

I answered the questions as a word document and sent it as an attachment since the space allotted was way too small. My answers however were succinct and straight to the point.

Not here but seems like they extended the application deadline...
 
I havent heard anything from this school and my application was complete in Sept. My friend who had much better stats than me didnt receive an interview and got her rejection letter a while ago.... 🙁
 
Anyone hear anything about the next interview session yet?
 
Just got an interview invite by email for january 28. Pharmcas was sent out late September. I submitted secondary by early October. I'm going to withdraw so one interview spot will be free.

Can Texas Southern University push a PharmD applicant to go a an undergraduate BS in biomedical Scince to finish Pharm in 6 years instead of 4 years?
