Hi all

I just got an interview from CNCP for January 28th. Does anyone got interview at the same date?
It is my first interview and I have no idea about it. I need a lot of help🙁
 
Does anyone know how many interview rounds are completed so far for CalNorthState and how many more left?
 
I think more and more people are starting to hear back. Does anyone know if there is another interview date after the Jan one? Also does Northstate have a waitlist system similar to Touro Ca? (high mid low)
 
Has anyone gotten CV Requests from CNCP? Is this normal? I've never heard of this.
 
My interview is Jan. 28th as well but they gave me the option to chose between that or Feb. 4th.

I haven't heard of submitting a CV either.
 
I just got an interview invitation for the 28th of Jan and the 4th of Feb as well.

I think I'm going to schedule the one on the 28th due to my class schedule.

I hope to see everyone there!!
 
Congrats dnguyen401! I have an interview on Feb 4th and super nervous? Any advice? What were the questions like? How many essay questions did they have and if you remember, what were they?

They give me option as well but I choose jan 28th. Is this your first interview? Do you have any information regarding this school?

Aww, thanks. But chances are I won't hear back until March or so. I haven't submitted the deposit for Western yet but I probably will starting next week. I submitted the deposit for Touro awhile back already 👎

I plan on going to Touro, but also keeping my fingers crossed for UOP.
 
Congrats to those who have been accepted and those who were granted interviews 🙂

If you're accepted be ready to study like mad! Northstate offers a tough curriculum, and we do more than just sit and listen while the professor lectures. Northstate isn't a school for those who want to be "lick and stick" pharmacists, they make sure we understand concepts and are able to communicate and apply what we've learned to case studies and what not. The pharmacist's role is expanding, and Northstate is getting us ready for it. It can be very stressful, but you will build tight connections with your classmates due to the team based learning as well. It's not one of those schools where everyone is pretty much on their own. You're put in a team, build connections with them, and the following semester you're put in another team. I thought it was pretty cool because it's a good way to know your fellow classmates. And I believe these connections will benefit everyone after graduation when we become practicing pharmacists.

Oh and our schedule is being changed as well, so that Fall semester will end before Thanksgiving 👍 So you could fly home for Thanksgiving and Christmas if you'd like. This past year for Fall many of us flew home for Thanksgiving, had to come back to finish and for finals, and then fly home again for Christmas. I like this new schedule much better.


Errr, I guess that's it. We're in our first week back for the Spring semester and I just wanted to stop by and give any info I could to potential future classmates. Best of luck to you all, hope to see you next Fall. Time for me to get back to studying.
 
My interview date is the 28th as well. Have you received your case study yet. They said it would be mailed out 1 week prior and not its less than a week away. This is my first interview too. Good luck to you and everyone else.

yeah, my interview date is also on Jan. 28th. I still have not receive the case study materials in the email as informed. I will call admission office on Monday first thing in the morning to verify. Good Luck!

My interview date is also on January 28th and I still have not received the team-based learning assignment. I e-mailed the admission coordinator and gail, but I have not heard back yet.

Hi guys!

I have submitted my applications late October 2010 to Pharmcas. I still haven't heard anything from Northstate. Does this mean I have a pretty slim chance? thanks for the help =)
 
Does anyone know what kind of question they ask on writing sample at California Northstate College of Pharmacy? I have an interview this friday!! God I'm so nervous!!!:scared:
 
Can anyone tell me what the interview day agenda is like normally...like what time it starts/ends ? I have an interview on feb 25 and they haven't sent me details yet. I just want to start planning my trip. Thanks.
 
The interview session last Friday went from 10:30 am to 4:15 pm. It will be a pretty long day so sleep and eat well before hand.

The interview lasts from 10:30 till 4:15. Its an all day event, but the information you will receive is worth the time. Don't stress out, the faculty and other students will help you relax. They did provide us lunch, but it was mexican food so make sure to bring a breathmint with you lol. Good luck to all of those that still have to interview.
 
The only thing that concerns me with attending CNCP is the tuition. Besides the loans that I do not qualify for because I have 2 cars and motorcycle in my name and I do not have a credit score above 680, the school mentioned the MBA program that I would do but do not know when I would have the time to take an extra 2 classes for only half of the tuition money. Any one have any other alternatives to actually pay for tuition?? I loved everything about the school except for this one big major problem.
 
Do you guys know about the assignment I've got for the interview from CNCP? Should I finish answering the questions of assignment before the interview?
What about the team based work? I heard that there would be something to work with people in the interview day. Is this right?

submitted my app mid january (a little late, i know) and received a confirmation.. so now i'm anxiously waiting. 🙁

I do not know how many interview rounds are left, but I know there is one scheduled for February 25, as that is my interview date.

However, I assume that there are a couple more interview dates left since CNCP only conducted one interview (or so) before the break in December.

One more on March 18th, the one in April is not confirmed yet.
 
Had my interview on 2/4. Now I wait! I think Gail said there would be 3 or 4 more rounds of interviews. Good luck to everyone!

Hey guys i just got a interview to either the feb 25th interview sess or march 18th... does anyone know if it matter which one i pick? I guess what im trying to ask is if there are more spots available for the earlier interview sessions (will i have a better chance of getting in)... Also does anyone remember their essay questions, this is my first interview and i am reallyyyyyyyy stressing out. any help anyone can provide will be extremely appreciated... Thank yououuu

I would try to pick the earlier date as long as you can prepare for it.

My essay question during my interview was an ethical one without a right or wrong answer. They told us they cared more about how you're able to organize your ideas on paper.
 
Did anyone get a background check consent request??? what does this mean

I just got a phone call saying I got in. They didn't ask for a background check. But I know that if you accept the admission and want to go to the school, you have to get a background check for sure.

Did they mention anything about the deposit? Does anyone know how much the deposit is and how long you have to pay it? Thanks

No they didnt mention anything about it. It's probably going to be in the paperwork they send this week. I heard last year it was $6000 and im guessing you have to pay it within a week or two.

According to PharmCAS, the deposit fee for CNCP is $1500 and its within 2 weeks to accept the offer. Not exactly sure 2 weeks from when though.
 
Last year there was a $1000 enrollment confirmation fee (which is non-refundable), and a $5000 seat commitment fee (which is refundable if you decide not to go). Both are applied to your first years tuition.

Here's what it says exactly from pharmcas for this year as the person above me stated:

• Acceptee's response to acceptance offer: Two weeks
• Acceptee's response to acceptance offer: Other Information
• Deposit to hold place in class: $1500


Once I get their paperwork this week I'll let you guys know what exactly it says.
 
How do you know if you are waitlisted?? are you notified by any chance or do you just assume? Can someone please explain this to me
