Out of the six California schools, which ones are the most OOS friendly and accept students with average acceptance stats? For example, UCLA has a GPA average of 3.7 (both overall and science) and a 23 DAT which is much higher than the average. I hope my questions makes sense! Thank you!

USC. But it's so expensive I wouldn't suggest applying there unless your stats are average to below average

State funded schools, UCLA and UCSF, are not going to be anywhere near as OOS friendly as the private schools. You will not be getting in with average stats. USC will put you $500,000 to $600,000 in debt. The other private schools may get close to that insanity too. Have fun paying that off! Why are you so set on California? Wanting to practice there afterwards? California is beyond saturated with dentists. Look elsewhere and move along.

If you wanna attend a Cali school that is up to you--however, all of them except for USC and Loma Linda are super competitive. If you wanna get that SoCal vibe, go to the beach, and meet attractive women, go ahead, but like @Big Time Hoosier said, California is way too saturated.

I don't want to practice there, fortunately. This sounds like a really long shot, but my fiance and I are trying to coordinate dental school and business school. The best I can do is apply near business schools he wants to go to (since it matters what school he goes to and not really for me). I really appreciate the advice! Good luck with everything!!
