In general most of the CSUs really aren't that good. I did however like CSUN and was impressed by what the teachers taught and I think they do a fairly good job of covering the material.

That's not a very good blanket statement. I know several great CSUs for their unique reasons that compete against the UCs, their specific programs, etc.

There's a bias of UCs overshadowing cal-states. So it depends on what you're asking about the school and what you're comparing.

I graduated from CSU Long Beach, and got a great education with zero student loans & I've been accepted to medical school, so to the poster who said the CSU system isn't really good .... whatever.

I would recommend CSU Northridge over Channel Islands, hands down. They're a well established school, whereas CSU Channel Islands just opened fairly recently (2002). Good luck, sunny1!
