I recently got licensed in California back in July and received my pocket license in the mail about two weeks after the license was posted on the website. I emailed the board about how long its going to be before the wall license arrived and they responded with a vague "were still having trouble with the numerous printing issues with the wall licenses. Rest assured your name is on the list to be sent one as soon as we are able to do so..." I know the economies terrible but is the state really that broke that they can't print our names on a piece of paper and put a stamp on an envelope? Does anyone know what the approximate time frame of receiving the physical license is? Any answer would be great. Thanks everyone.

Some people in my class did get it, it was only a handful of people cause they posted it on Facebook and the rest of us were, where the heck is mine. I know a bunch of us are still waiting. So yeah, stop checking your mailbox.. haha... This state is so broke, they'll never get anything fixed.

I'm impressed you got a reply! My friend sent in her request, with a check, several months ago nothing. And they cashed her check. The last person I've heard that got a wall certificate was somewhere around Jan 2011 haha but I havent asked that many people.

You can get the wall license? I dont think any of my friends who passed last year even have it. I just have the wallet sized one.

Yes, you can! 🙂 I didn't even know until I saw pictures of other states' wall certificates and wondered how CA can send me one. Update from the CA Board as of 9/18: "The wall certificates thru the issue date of 8/16/2011 have been mailed. Still working on getting caught up."
Nice, Thanks for the update. Hopefully they have continued printing them and not stopped again for another year... Its not like the wall license is anything but a conversation piece/ space taker, but its nice to have something other than a crumpled wallet card after spending all that money on licensure. Lets just keep eachother posted as we receive them to keep us updated.
