I am currently the first person on a wait list at a school who started orientation today. Does anyone have specific knowledge that points to my still getting a seat this year? Seems like a possibility, however everyone accepted did indeed show up at 7am this morning like requested so I'm wondering what my chances are.

last year someone left on the 2nd day of orientation for my class to go to another school so I guess its not impossible..... but if it doesnt happen for you that really SUCKS that you got so close, this is why miami doesnt tell ppl where they fall on the wait list because they dont want to get their expectations up

which school are you hoping for?

I would prefer to go accross town (KU) where tuition is half the price, but as it is that I have been out of school for 9 years, I'll take what I can get. I know a few people that have gone to KCUMB and not only loved it but are highly regarded in the community.

Two years ago a friend of mine received the call on the Thursday of orientation week; someone had dropped out on Wednesday. He had one day to get everything lined up, then started school on Monday.

Here at Wake we had someone who was called in the last day of orientation to start classes the following Monday....so it happens.
