Hey everyone as you remember my last experience with USC on friday I received a letter stating that they wanted me to retake my DAT's. So I called them today and explained my situation to them, it was actually not that bad they understood and actually apologized. They basically said that their system is bad and that they got alot of DAT scores late in the system. So if you got the letter and you KNOW for sure that something is not right I would for sure call them to get it straightened out. They put my file back into review, thank god.

Hope this info helps!!! good luck everyone

So if you didn't call them, would they have left your application out of the "review" pile?

Do they even review people who have below their minimum requirements anyway?

good question, i have no idea but they told me to "retake the DAT" so i suppose thats like a rejection.

Ummmm... the mean DAT score for our class of 2012:

18.2 AA
18.9 PAT

So I don't know if things suddenly changed this year, but you would have been golden last year.

On a hunch I called today as well to make sure everything was straight, and file complete. What Hysteria just said ^ was exactly what the woman on the phone said. They were really nice and gave it a quick look to see if things were missing or ok. We'll see what happens now that everything is being reviewed.

I only speak the truth! Just trying to give you guys any insight possible, because I know I sure needed it last cycle.

The average is 18, however, do they interview people that have one section below their "minimum requirement"?

I'm just confused if they ask for a retake, would they still consider you in the "review pile" for an interview?

It is probably a nice way to reject someone.

I don't know what the "minimum requirements" are. I will say however that I had the same RC as osimsDDS (his lowest section), and was lower in all other sections. I had no problems with my scores, yet they told osimsDDS to retake. No clue....
