Calling a VCU once a week about my lors, good or bad?

Ok so if you are applying to VCU you know that the admissions office is quite disorganized. So I called them last Monday(this was before they put the deadline on the status page) & Friday to see if they had my LORs, and they said they were prolly in a stack, yet my deadline for my file to be complete was on 9/5. Everything else was at VCU on time, and my school sent the recommendations exactly 1 month ago. I'm getting a little frustrated with them, cause other people on SDN are having the same problem. THey don't seem to answer emails either, so do you think if I called them it would look bad. I dont want to come on as being OCD, but I do want to make sure they have my recommendations.

hey...i finally got my status updated and yeah i didnt even have to call them! anyways my status is complete with no word of the "deadline" anyways good luck...

When was your deadline (9/5?), and when did they update your status? Also do you know when your school sent out the recommendations to them?

i dont want to break your heart but my school sent my recs on 9/10. my deadline was 9/5 but had submitted all the stuff but not the LOR by then. supposedly you have until jan. for the LOR. my status was updated yesterday 9/22 to reflect them getting my LOR. when youre status changes to complete...they should notify you via email.

I'm sick of VCU. I sent my LORs in over a month ago, and just resent them two weeks ago. Still no update on the website except for my 9/2 deadline. I've called them several times, and every time they say they'll call me back after they look and they havn't called me back once.
