Hey all,

We have officially got the go ahead for the One Health Certificate program, and I am looking to get into contact with the various public health and one health leaders throughout the universities to start the planning and set a meeting time and place for the SAVMA symposium for us to discuss this further. Currently, I have contacted the following vet schools:
Auburn
Colorado State
Kansas State
Midwestern
Mississippi State
NCSU
Purdue
St. George
Tennessee
UC Davis
Upenn

I am looking for contact people for other schools. I definitely want to get in touch with Illinois, VMR, Cornell, Ohio State, and Iowa, but I am fairly sure that others exist.

For pre-vets, if you are in a masters program (especially masters of public health), you will be eligible as well to participate. There must be a One Health Organization at your school (which if you don't have one, I would be more than happy to spend some time with you to help construct) and I would need to be in contact with them to give them the information they need.

Thanks for everyone's help on this, I am super excited about this certificate program!

(even if you aren't interested in the certificate, we will be setting up a network of interactive webinars through this certificate program which you can be a part of. The more schools that are involved will result in greater frequency of these webinars. So if you are interested in a more cohesive one health network, then definitely send me a message/send me a person's contact info).

I am a pre-vet and I just finished my masters of public health this year and applied this cycle. I'm not at my school where I got my masters anymore because I finished, but is there anything I can do? Or would I just need to wait till I start vet school?

The certificate program with webinar series will officially be rolled out in August, so we are in the process of currently doing recruitment and getting our official list of approved lecturers down, and handling all of the logistics. Hopefully, you will be in vet school by the time that you can start working towards the certificate! If the worst case scenario occurs and you are not, feel free to contact me, and I will lump you under the University of Missouri label for the purposes of the certificate (there needs to be some verifying organization to ensure you are completing the hours appropriately, I have no issues handling this for you).

We have a one health club (I believe). I'll wander our hallway with club boards tomorrow and see if I can't find some emails for them.

I am super excited about this!

Are you looking for faculty or student contacts for OSU's one health clubs/organizations?

I'm the treasurer of the Public Health Association at Illinois. If you message me your contact information, I will pass it on to our president and professor mentor.

Although, Ive already completed my Masters, I now work at the FDA on One Health, and happy to help in any way.

Minnesota has a one health committee in our scavma, would that qualify? They also do a dual MPH program

I would say that it definitely counts, assuming that they are willing to take on the responsibilities of working with the certificate program (setting up rooms for webinars to be held, authenticating students that attended webinars vs. those that didn't, authenticating completion of required courses, and forwarding along capstone projects that are submitted).

If you want to forward along their information, I will discuss this further with them! Thanks!

STL if you PM me and remind me I can get you the info for Cornell when I get home
