Hi,
I'm an undergrad soph majoring in Nutrition-Health Science to become a dietician. I was told that dietetics internships reluctantly accept students with at least a 3.75 GPA, but they prefer students with 3.9-4.0 GPA, but some students from my college made it with 3.85 GPAs. Right now, I have a 3.66 GPA because I had done poorly in introductory biochem (B/C in both lecture and lab) in my first freshman semester after taking a year and a half off from high school. Have any of you made it into an internship program with less than a 3.9 GPA, or have known anyone who did? Also, I know that the programs look at the science GPA. Should I re-take that introductory biochem course to prove that I know my stuff? Or if I ace microbiology and biochem during my jr and sr years, will the internship programs overlook it?
Also, I'm studying A&P right now, and I have never had to really study before in my life until now. Do any of you have any study tips that you could share with me?
Thanks a lot!
