I just got accepted to UFCD and was looking for other members in the same position.

I was also wondering if you guys have set up a facebook group page? In addition, what are you thoughts on the Summer Research Program that UF is offering?

I am in Alabama, so when I find a place will determine whether or not I do the summer reasearch. I was accepted at 6:45am Feb 1st. When did they call you?

I was accepted nov 30th, awhile back. I already applied for the Summer Research program. I would really like to work in the field of microbial genetics, but haven't heard back from Jane Moore or Dr. A. UFCD is undergoing some major budget cuts this year and the doctors I spoke to said that it might be capped at 25 students, so get your papers in early if you want the money- which is great! You are basically working for $10/hr, which isn't bad for g-ville. Also meeting faculty, peers, and maybe completing some worthwhile research (that might really help you in the future, specialties etc.) makes it an awesome deal- at least to me!🙄

Thanks guys, same to you both! I actually interviewed on Febuary 1st and got the call on March 6th. Thanks for your input regarding the research program.
