I just read a post that made me want to start this thread. I realize that few want to admit they are in the lower 33% of their class, but I desperately need advice and any advice given will help a lot of people.
It seems to me that the majority of the recommendations for study/prep for step 1 are students who have generally been strong students all along.
I've been wondering if the same study sources consistently mentioned would also be sufficient for the student who got Cs in the first 2 years.
My thought is that the majority agree that Qbank and FA are the key, but isnt it true that for someone who doesn't have a firm handle on the FA material to begin with, FA is of MUCH lower value?
The answer is easy for someone who has >4-5 weeks to study, but, if I have 3 weeks to study for step 1 and say I have a 2.0 GPA in my first 2 years of coursework. Would those of you that have taken step 1 recently still agree I should primarily focus on (path aside-think i got that covered) FA and Qbank? Or is Q bank going to be wasting my time when I should be "re-learning" my physio from Lange or BRS, biochem, micro, etc.
Anyone who's been there or known someone who was, please advise.
PS I actually got an A in path, it's the other stuff I'm concerned with.
THANKS!! 😍
