Calling consults

Well,
I just consulted a cardiologists/ordered a cardiology consult because of a patient with bigeminal/trigeminal PVC's, QT prolongation and even absent T waves. So... I don't think I'd need anything else to warrant their services.

lol. fyi the cardiologists i work with would "educate" aka bitch me out for 20 minutes for calling that consult.. i discharged a pt 2 days ago w/ bigeminy and long qtc w/o even picking up the phone... peace out back to the snf..

Well,
I feel better because my preceptor agreed with me. But if the cardiologist gets pissed I'll just tell them I hope they feel better that a medical student did a better job managing these cardiac symptoms.
