i called nyu to make sure that my app was complete (has been more than 6 weeks since i got that dinky postcard) and they granted me an interview. when i asked if i was going to get a email/letter about this, they said prob not until after my interview (which is next week). is this weird/bad sign? were they not going to interview me until i called? has this happened to anyone else?

Hmmm, that's really weird. When you've been selected for an interview, NYU gives you a range of dates (from 11/3/2003 to 2/6/2004) to select an interview from. They shouldn't have set a premeditated date for you already. That's at least for the regular MD anyway, I don't know about the combined degree programs.

I had called NYU 2 weeks back and, like you, they informed me that I had been chosen for an interview. But right after that, they transferred me to the interview coordinator to set up a date and time. Hence why your situation sounds a little strange. I'd recommend at least calling them again and double-checking that they haven't misconstrued something (or that someone hasn't stolen your identity and called in your place! 😉 ).

yeah, i got a letter in the mail and had to call about it. (really, i'm just posting this because i'm a dork and want to get to 100 posts 😀 )
