Hello potential residents i was hoping if you could address my concern. I am attending a caribbean medical school namely spartan. However, I had a case academic dishonesty in the past while attending university in the states. Now my question to you guys is does the ERAS application ask about "If youve ever been disciplened in the past" kind of question or is it only worried about your medical school transcripts and therefore i should have no problem whatsoever. Honestly please do let me know if there is any such question on the ERAS application and if so what does it read. Good luck on your applications everyone.

Any potential resident Please help me with this issue i am very concerned.

When I did my ERAS application, I didn't run across any questions regarding disciplinary action in undergrad. So I think its safe to say that you should discuss your academic integrity violation only on the off-chance that you get asked about any prior disciplinary action at your residency interview. And in the event you do have to discuss it, emphasize how you have matured since that experience so that the program will know that you are trustworthy enough to hire as a resident. However, I seriously doubt a residency program will ever ask you about anything you did in undergrad, unless of course it was criminal in nature. Now, if the incident had occurred while you were in med school, then you'd have some explaining to do.

Any other experiences from other potential residents out there. let me know guys. THANK YOU TOPGUN FOR YOUR EXPERIENCE.
