I have a few questions that I want to ask the admissions office (the chance of getting off of the alternate list), but was wondering if it was better to email these questions or call them.

Everyone I have been talking to say that I should call and pester the admissions office to show that I am interested in their program. But their emails specifically state that, although I can call, email is their preferred method of communication.

I'm sorry if this seems trivial (most definitely is), but I just want to make the most of every opportunity I get.

~thanks~~

The school itself has already given you their answer: email.

They've said they prefer email, and calling OR emailing repeatedly to "pester them" is only going to irritate and antagonize the office...NOT get you an admission (and, worst case scenario, decrease your chances of getting an admission if they're antagonized to the point of questioning your professionalism and ability to follow directions). I know it's an anxiety-ridden process, but at this point there's not much you can do: your fate has already been determined based on your application and interview impression.

Send one polite email with your questions and reinstating your interest and be done.
