When to call/email admissions office?

Hi all,

I interviewed at a school about 2 months ago. When I interviewed, they said they would have a decision for us in 6-8 weeks. I have yet to hear anything from them, but heard from a couple other applicants from my interview day that they were given interview results 3+ weeks ago.

I have uploaded a post-interview update expressing interest, but I’m questioning when would be a time to call or email an admissions contact specifically regarding my status. I realize that emailing like can commonly lead to a “still under review” response, but are there any instances where reaching out to check up on it would 1, be warranted, and 2, not be looked at as overly eager/annoying?

Just looking for your thoughts.

If you haven't contacted them in a bit over a month, you can reach out to them. More frequent than that, you'd be crossing the "annoying" line IMO.

They don't always review everyone on the same interview day at the same time. (We try to, but sometimes we can't.)
