Can a PharmD Work In Forensics? Toxicology?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Just curious.

What are some of the alternatives to working retail or in a hospital?

Forensics, not so much. Toxicology, very much so. Pharmacists are very commonly employed at poison control centers.

There's a sticky somewhere around here with other career options, I'd take a look. There are literally hundreds of career paths for a PharmD.

One reason I'm in pharmacy school is due to the Pharm.D's flexibility... I'm sure you could swing a forensics gig if you got a forensic science certificate from an accredited place, although the pay likely wouldn't support the debt from getting the Pharm.D.
