I'm a 24 year old EMT and I just got my pre-reqs for med school over with. I dont have a Bachelor's degree, but I have a lot of credits in my transcript. Do you guys think I could get into any medical school (MD or DO) with an associate's?

as far as i know, you need to get your bachelor's degree to get into U.S. MD/DO programs..unless you do the 6 year program (which is for high school graduates).

You can be accepted with 90 credit hours including med pre reqs... BUT you cannot matriculate until a Bachelors degree is obtained. UNLESS like the above poster said, you do the BS/MD out of Highschool

No. I've heard of a few doctors getting into medical school (but this was like 30 years ago when everything was different) without a formal degree, but they went to a 4 year University anyways. You need a degree from a 4 year University.

Maybe back decades ago, but now? Med schools pretty competitive, I doubt they'd look at anything less than someone attending a four year degreed program, unless it's a special combined program for high school grads.

You could always try the Caribbean...

To answer the original question, yes, an associate's degree holder can get into medical school...

... as long as he has a BS also. 😉

I am planning on getting my Associates Degree and then getting my Bachelors at a University. I'm studying for MCAT like now. lol! Will I get interviewed and accepted into med school?

1.) Yes, you'll be fine assuming your application is competitive.

2.) If your avatar is a personal picture I'd recommend changing it.

Edit: necrobump got me!
