but the duct crosses the masseter and then pierces the buccinator to enter the oral cavity..

so which one is right...
buccinator or masseter

can any one explain this....

Parotid gland duct crosses/ traverses external surface of Masseter M from behind forward and at the anterior border of Masseter turns medially to pierce Buccinator M amd opens into the Oral cavity opposite 2nd/1st max molar. I hope this helps.

so.buccinator crosses the masseter...thi choice is masseter,not buccinator...
