Can Army disburse HPSP stipend early?

I just got the Army HPSP scholarship. I'm starting med school August 18th. Can the stipend begin in July, so that I'll have money to get an apartment, food, etc? Or else does it just kick in around the time tuition is due in August? Thanks.

The contract states that "I understand that payment of such stipend commences on the latest date that all of the following conditions are satisfied: My oath of office has been executed, this service agreement has been executed, and I have commenced the academic curriculum." Not sure how you would get around such clear verbage...
