I am planning on doing a masters program from a DO school. At this school, students take the same classes as the medical students, and you even have orientation with the college of medicine students. it is essentially like a SMP but it is called a MS in Medical Health Sciences.

Will this MS from a DO school help me get into a MD school? I initially thought no, and that instead I should just do a post-bacc at my undergrad through open campus and take full time units, but a couple of people suggested that I do the MS program from the DO school. Won't MD schools wonder why i am applying to an MD school if i am doing a MS at a DO school?

Any suggestions/advice will be appreciated. Thanks!!
Yes, doing well in this type of program, along with a good MCAT (513+), will make you competitive for those MD schools that reward reinvention.

My own school's SMP has sent grads to MD schools.
