I was accepted to a medical school and I am waiting on word from another medical school. I want to secure a spot into at least "one" medical school. Can I give my deposit and a required document stating that I will join their class and then later decline if I get a better offer?

Yes. Lots of people hold multiple acceptances until traffic day.

Does accepting an offer to one school mean that you must withdraw from the rest of the schools you are applying to? In other words, would the other schools know you have accepted an offer and take you out of the running?
