Are you allowed to apply to IM and EM if you wanted or can you only pick one tract when it comes time for residency? I am unsure if I want to be in IM or EM.

You can apply to both separately, but I would be careful about doing it at the same place . . . luckily many of the places that are amazing for EM are crap-holes for IM
