Can I get a 508?

Took the Blueprint HL diagnostic and got a 488 (120/125/122/121) before any studying (did have CARS tutoring and still am). I am studying Sep-Jan for a Jan test date that can be pushed to March if need be. My goal score is a 508, is it possible?

I didn't use any third party diagnostics/exams and I've heard they suppress scores to get people to buy their services, so I wouldn't put too much stock into the score itself. However, what it does show is that you have a lot of content gaps. I 110% believe you can achieve your desired score as long as you are willing to put in the work to understand foundational scientific principles and memorize the psych/soc key terms.

Before studying score does not matter. September-January is enough time to get any score you want basically. My personal advice that worked for me is to use Kaplan for hard sciences, Khan Academy for P/S, AAMC CARS for CARS, UWorld for all except CARS, AAMC section banks, and AAMC FLs. I did content review (kaplan+khan) first then did the rest together, spacing the AAMC FLs out once every 2 weeks. Do not waste a AAMC FL by using it as a diagnostic/before content review, they are short in supply.

You’re in good shape due to your cars score. I would expect most folks to be weak in CP, BB, and PS without practice. For this reason I think diagnostic tests are largely a waste and designed to pressure folks into buying more products/services. A 508 is very doable with your timeframe.

very possible! start studying as soon as you can and I think Jan is feasible.

If you get close to January and you arent scoring around 508 on practice tests, push it back to march

Certainly possible. Get some studying in and some more data points and you'll know more about your trajectory by the late fall.
