Can I Get A Hell Yea For My Horns!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
w00t!! Just watched this game with a bunch of friends. It was TX football all the way: heart-stopping action, hard hits, and a last minute, come from behind win so reminiscent of Applewhite's comeback victory in the Holiday bowl.

:horns: :horns:

Your avatar is rather disturbing. Hopefully not a self portrait. 😀

HOOK 'EM!!!!!

That was one awesome game!!!!

Being a die hard sooner fan, it humbles me to say this...but wow, I was so happy to see USC go down! That was such an embarrassing loss last year, and what's better than seeing a big 12 school beat them?

Anyone catch Matt Leinert's snotty comment at the end of the game? He actually said he still thought USC was the better team. Uh...Matt?....did you see the score?? Then, after his interview, one of the interviewers said, "thanks VINCE!" to him. I about died laughing!!!! 😀

Give Matt some credit: He did go to the Texas locker room and congratulate Vince and the coaches.

I'm still jacked up about that game. I've been rewatching the game and reading newspaper clippings from around the country.

The only reason I even watched the Rose Bowl yesterday (I am a Miami fan) was for Vince Young. I stayed till the very end--it was definitely worth it. Forget the Reggie Bush sweepstakes--how bad is Young right now? He should jump to the NFL before he gets hurt in a meaningless college game scrambling around like Mike Vick.

I feel he's got one more thing he wants to do. HEISMAN. He can get insurance that protects him from financial loss due to injury.

UT ROCKS

Mr. Young is a superstud.

And yeah, Miami didnt show up for the LSU game, but we'll be back.

We just need to replicate the late 1980s/early 1990s and start paying our players again...

Which school in Texas has a football team? 😉 Wish I had the ability to follow sports and pass med school... I don't even know where my remote control is anymore.

I understand Coker firing some coaches, but Art Kehoe? That guy is an institution in O line coaching. There was talk that we would try to bring him in if our O line coach gets a head coaching job.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! It was hard, having been an Arkansas Razorbacks fan all of my life, for me to root for the Horns. But, by the end of the game, I had my 3y/o daughter saying "Hook'em Horns".

NATIONAL CHAMPIONS sound so sweet! I especially enjoyed it for the fall of USC! Definitely one of the most fantastics games of all time!

As with all good things, the joy is short lived. Vince Young to go pro. 👎

My heart sank. Once again, money rules the world. What I don't understand is that they're predicting him 3rd pick, next year would almost be a lock at #1???

The thought is that his stock will never be higher than now. Another year under the microscope would reveal real or fictional flaws that would drop his stock.

Seeing Carson Palmer probably lose most of the next year to an ACL injury probably convinced him even more to go pro now rather than risk injury.

GIG' EM HORNS!!!

The Aggies, at least the ones I know, are pretty damn proud of yall (if only for a short while).

Overall, winning the National Championship will help recruiting for the BIG 12 across the country.

It was also one of the best games I have ever seen!

I even got the president of the A&M alum association to wear burnt orange gear and give the hookem! He wouldn't let me take a picture of him, but he wore the cap and shirt for a week!

A&M will be tough next year although the hiring of Gary Darnell still baffles my mind.

Hook'em HORNS! #1!

It was a great game from start to finish. Fourth quarter was so crazy, I almost peed in my pants!

There's plenty of Texas haters in DC. I think it's because of the Dallas Cowboys/Washington Redskins rivalry. There was a lot of smack talking about my team in the clinic/hospital the day before, but I was cool and showed my proud. I really wished I could have worn my burnt orange Texas sweat gear head-to-toe the day after.

Also, I wanted to share some emails I received lately..

"You can't spell "I SUCK!" without USC" (so so wrong.. hehe)
"Trojans can stop STDs but can't stop VINCE TDs" (good one to use for preventive medicine)

I was fortunate enough to attend the Rose Bowl, truly the greatest game I have ever witnessed!!! So much intensity from start to finish. We stood the entire game. I was so worn out by halftime, I had to just sit. No bathroom, no beer run. It actually took about 5 days for me to get my voice back!!! I had to swallow hard at the $850 ticket price, but it was money well spent. Gawd, I'm getting jacked just thinking about the game again....
Gotta give props to the USC fans, they showed alot of class even though they had to be feeling like they got donkey-punched.
Vince had the most dominating performance ever! What a stud...now THAT is grace and poise under pressure. TOO COOL!!!!
Hook 'Em baby!!!

That was just an awesome game and I brought back about a thousand dollars worth of memorabilia that I gave out to my surgeons and staff. It was just the most incredible experience.

Not so cool was the way Matthew McConaughey got ****faced even before the game. The excitement of the game brought him around and I saw him afterwards at the team hotel with the most bloodshot eyes I have ever seen, but able to stand somehow.
