I have a 3.3 gpa and 24 mcat...is there any way i can get into a medical school? I have a lot of research experience and extracurricular activities..and some great recs. any help you could give would be great! thanks!

For allopathic schools, your MCAT and GPA are both below average and that'll cause some significant difficulties. If you're set on MD schools, you're going to have to raise both of your numbers.

I know someone who got into Osteopathic school with a 24 mcat and gpa similar to yours.

Check THIS THREAD and THIS MDAPP.

The mdapp is a friend of mine. Best of luck to you.

With med school apps, nothing is impossible and nothing is definite. With your stats, it will be hard even with amazing ECs. Apply broadly and as early as possible (you're not applying this year, are you?)

If your MCAT is all 8 across, then you should be ok with receiving secondaries. But anything less than 7 or 8, you have a chance of being screened out pre-secondary. Nonetheless, good luck.
