Can I include volunteering with low hours?

I volunteered for 6 months with a hospice patient as a bedside volunteer. I met with the patient 2 hours every week until their passing. As of right now, i only have those 40 or so hours. Is that high enough to include on an app? I did learn a lot from it, and I am glad I did it. I am just not sure if the hours will come off as "checking off a box".

I would include it, sounds like you still gained something from it and 6 months is not too short an amount of time.

I would just make sure you have other sources to add to your # of clinical volunteer hours.

Quality > Quantity
If you can talk about it and it was meaningful, list it. Especially this with hospice you want to list, that’s almost a keyword for some schools.

Yes.

Is it high enough to be considered seriously?
Forty hour alternative spring break service missions are listed not uncommonly. If the impact of the activity is thoughtfully incorporated and well stated, it won't be dismissed just because of low hours.
