I graduated however I am doing a post-bacc and not done with my pre-reqs. I still need Organic Chem 1&2, and Physics 2. I am only registered for Organic Chemistry 1 for this semester, so can I start studying for the DAT and possibly take it by next Spring? or would it be a better idea to wait until I finished Organic Chemistry 2? I would rather just get it over with.

Plenty have done it without OCHM 2. It just depends on your study habits and how capable you are. Can you learn on your own? Or do you need a lecture or someone to explain it all? It's nice to have the DAT done, but don't do it if you're going to pull a 15 in OCHM.

I definitely suggest starting PAT and QR prep though. It's never too early for those.

I think you can do it. My organic chem classes, especially the second semester, didn't really help me much for DAT. But I would leave a bit more time to study that typically recommended.

You can take it without Ochem 2 but it would be better if you waited. Plus there no need to start studying for the DAT more than 2 months in advance except PAT.

Yeah totally possible, but try taking Organic Chemistry 2 as well because you wont have to study as much ochem for DAT. IMO

Hey guys I decided I will start studying for PAT and QR only right now. What is the best way to do this?

that would be the DAT Discussion section. crack dat pat and math destroyer to start you off?

CDP for PAT, Math Destroyer for Math...but since you're getting a head-start, I'd highly recommend doing some SAT level math questions without a calculator. As a tutor, that was basically how I kept my math skills up, so when time came to study for QR I never felt too overwhelmed by math. How are your reading skills? If you' struggle with English, RC might be another to look into (I recommend Crack DAT Reading).

If I were you, I'd get started on Crack DAT PAT and DAT Destroyer

Start studying for other stuff now and take it after orgo 2

PAT is all practice and getting used to how the problems work. There are definitely many tips and tricks that helped me especially to finish the PAT portion of the DAT early (finished 10 mins early!).

If I don't plan on taking the DAT until next Summer is it okay to purchase Crack DAT and Math Destroyer now? Do they get updated at all or is it basically the same type of problems on all the DAT exams? Thanks
