can I talk about specific patient encounters (obviously hippa...) from three different hospital settings in my PS, and talk about other pts in W/A?

The stories in my rough draft of PS include how specific patient interactions motivated me further toward medicine, but I also don't want to hurt my Work and Activities descriptions of these same hospital experiences/jobs? obviously I wouldn't mention the same patients in W/A, but all of my most meaningful experiences have been these three hospital jobs!!

Specific patient interactions are fine as long as it's HIPAA-compliant. Make sure the focus is on you though, and not on the patient. I would recommend against designating all three (presumably similar) hospital jobs as your 'most meaningful'. While this may be true, your goal should be to highlight the different facets of your application. Just my thoughts

It is highly unusual to include a patient vignette in a work/activities section. That should be broader strokes about your job responsibilites and perhaps "what you learned" or why it was most memorable which should be an aggregate of experiences with patients, e.g. "children with burns and other traumatic injuries" rather than "David who was shot while riding his bicycle to his grandmother's house and Dina who was burned over 30% of her body in an apartment fire." Those long explanations might not even fit in the work/activites section.
