Can I wait in silence after an II for a decision? How important are updates/letter of interest? Do I have to continue begging...

Is it okay for me to wait in silence for 3-6 months for a school to decide if they want to admit me? I feel so burnt out and tired; I don't know if I should write a letter of interest to the school I already wrote a "why us" essay for. If I don't send an LOI/update letter to school after an interview, would they be upset that I'm not interested enough and waitlist me?

Congratulations on already having several interviews!
Don’t forget that the first day AMCAS schools are allowed to offer acceptances is October 15th.
For all of you, there is nothing to do until then but wait.
Check on which of your schools accept updates and send something to those at the end of October.

I have classmates who have been amazing at med school who didn’t get into my school until about a week before we started.

I say all that to say….. I know it’s horrible, but try to just be patient.

Try to add accomplishments like papers, awards, or additional service not previously on your application during this time so you can send those in updates instead of a letter of interest or intent. Also, don't write an entirely separate essay on "why us", just update them on your activities and how that fits into their school mission and call it a day.
