I have heard rumor that if the August MCAT did not go well, and you retake it in January that you CANNOT use the scores for the 2007 application year. Is this correct, or is this just a rumor? Has anyone talked to AAMC? please let me know.

I think 1 or 2 schools will accept it. But I would think you would need a 25 at least to be competitive at that point. However, I really dont know so take that with a lot of salt.

i know that some schools do accept it. Some don't. You're best bet is to just call each school and find out. But as stated above, you need a higher score to be competitive because your score will come out in february.

goodluck!

COMP accepts it.

I called each of my schools and exactly half said they would accept it, although one said they would accept it only if the applicant was already invited for an interview. :luck:
