Can one record/video classes at NYU?

Is recording/taping of classes by students at NYU for later review allowed? And if so, is it a common practice?

I thought that most of the lectures were available by MP3 after class.

classes organize to post MP3's on the web, available after class. They'll tell your class about it during orientation. I don't really think I would use video if it were available...D1's don't have it.
