Hi,

Some schools (Howard, Midwestern,..) I am trying to apply to require Anatomy as prereq. Since I already took Physiology, I was wondering if I could use that for the Anatomy spot? Or do I absolutely have to take Anatomy? And even if I try to apply now, I would get rejected regardless since I did not take Anatomy? Thank you guys.

Had the same question, and the admissions counselor at WVU said anatomy was a "firm requirement" and physio would not cover it.

your best bet is not to get answers from SDN for this, but rather call the admissions dept. at the schools.

There is a good chance that if they deemed the courses to be equivalent they would have included both with a forward slash, hyphen, or, parenthesis.

The two courses are not the same so I'd reckon schools would not accept physiology in place of anatomy.

You would have to check but as others have said I doubt they will make that exchange. If you sign up to take the class during your senior year though you will not be rejected. You just have to include that you are taking anatomy in your future coursework.
