Can someone explain Mendel's 2 laws please

I'm having trouble understanding Law of segragation and Law of independent assortment, can someone explain it in simple words. Thank you.

segregation just means alleles (from chromosomes) are separated during meiosis. Aa divided into A for one gamete and a for the other. Independent assortment means that different genes assort independent of one another. Eye color gene doesn't have to be passed along with hair color gene. so you can get different combinations of the two genes.
