yes. this means that the atmospheric pressue and the vapor pressure the same so water boils. also know this: delta G = delta H -TdeltaS when water boils delta G is zero and it is just delta H = T - Delta S.

basically, the water won't be getting any hotter and now all you can do is turn the liquid H2O into gas H2O.

Boiling point is that flat line on the heating or cooling curve. While it is boiling it stays the same temperature through out. Therefore we understand it to be at an equilibrium point. It stays that boiling stage. If something is equilibrium it isnt spont or non spont. it just is!
