Hello,

A general question that me and my premed/application cycle friends have been discussing.

Could someone who got an interview from top 20 / and then got in comment on the process. or someone who was complete early and got late interviews and then got in comment?

Many of my friends and I were complete mid-july and onwards, and are hearing that we should have gotten most of our interviews to those schools in September but we only have 1 or 2, and some don't have any. Did anyone get the majority of their interviews to those schools in October? and were still complete end of July?

It would be nice to hear.

Thanks

A friend and I both got II's to a top-10 in December after being complete in July. We scheduled them for the same day, it was a ball. Neither of us got in 😢

The odds of getting an II get slimmer as the season rolls along, but I think it's too early to give up hope at this point.

All of my top 20 interviews were offered in October+, completed in December and January. Late doesn't necessarily mean you won't get in (provided your application is strong)

IT'S SEPTEMBER !!!!111

most of the top schools have still got majority of their interviews remaining (there are some exceptions like Michigan)

it does not mean anything to still be waiting. Plenty more to go out in October and November and even after that

It's the end of september** 🙂 After tomorrow (Friday) we're in October for interviews invites.

Interview invitation in Dec, interviewed January, got in x 2, top 20.
One of them was just emailing the program to ask them to review my file as I really wanted to go there, around December. Got an interview a week later.
Never hurts to ask.

Patience is a virtue, the need for instant gratification is not.

Schools stratify the apps as they come in and don't send out IIs merely in chronological order.

Secondaries are often a tax on the hopelessly naïve, if not pathologically optimistic.

I'm scheduling most of my interviews in January this cycle because I don't leave my job until then and it's tough taking time off work. Hopefully it will work out!

Is October and November really considered late? or is late considered December/January?

Do you have a word document where you can copy/paste the appropriate lines? Or do you remember each one word for word by now
